Four Pillars of Health Resources

We all love free resources for various reasons. But the main reason is that we are searching for something to alleviate the pain, frustration and/or stress that is keeping us up at night— a need or want.

However, we seldom consider the reasons why people give away free resources other than to have you give your email address in return. And, while we too would like for you to become part of our community our reasons are best expressed by the quote by S. Truett Cathy.

“Nearly every moment of every day, we have the opportunity to give something to someone else – our time, our love, our resources.”

How To Locate Resources

Instead of guessing what type of resource you want, we categorized the resources under their respective pillar. For example, if you’re looking for a resource for weight loss, you look under the green pillar. Similarly, if you’re looking for something to help you with goal setting, you would look under the blue pillar.

Next, you may wonder, “how do I know what each pillar stands for?” The answer is quite simple. Below is a list with a short description of each pillar, as well as a category named undefined.

Some categories will have more resources than others. This is because some sub-categories have lots of sub-topics, while others are more complex.

  • Blue Pillar: the blue pillar stands for spiritual health—the understanding of the overall goal of life. Some individuals find this objective through their faith and belief system, while others create their own goal of life. The resources purpose posted under this section will focus mainly on the later.
  • Green Pillar: the green pillar is about everything ‘physical health.’ Under this pillar, you will find resources pertaining to diet & nutrition, activities & fitness, weight loss, stress management, and sleep.
  • Red Pillar: the red pillar is about personal-, professional-, and social relationships. The reason we call it ‘social pillar’ is because it includes also elements on maintaining and behaving properly.
  • Yellow Pillar: the yellow pillar is about emotional and mental health. You may come across information that separates the two. But, because, they are so closely interlinked, we placed them under one pillar. An easy way to remember what the resource is about.
    • emotional health is about our emotional state and mood. It is also about our self-esteem.
    • mental health aka cognitive health is about the brain.
  • Undefined: Here you will find resources that may influence a pillar, but too broad in scope.
